Amazing Stone Sculptor
His name is Lu Huan. We learned about him on a PBS TV show today. It takes him usually several months to complete a sculpture. Some take years. He uses no paint...just the natural traits of the rock. He does not work from a photo because a photo is too flat. he goes and procures or buys the live specimen and studies it for a long time before he starts to sculpt. By the way, when he chooses aspecial rock, he spends much time studying it and contemplating it before he decides what to carve.
