Glenn Beck Friday Sept 9 Comments
Here is Glenn beck...I decided to take a little movie of him...before this, he talked a lot about 9 11, often unable to speak because of being choked up. I finally went and got my camera to capture just a small portion of his monologue this morning.
More Glenn Beck
On Friday morning, I continued to watch Glenn beck on our lap top..talking about America and 9 11.

Bird Calls and the Wind

I am sad for my mom. Last conversation with her she said:" I miss birds chirping." I am sure she misses a lot more. I KNOW she misses a lot more. She has told me she misses the garden and going out there to see what was ready to eat.
I know she misses just stepping out on to the porch to water a hanging plant or just survey the neighborhood, get some sunshine or feel the wind on her face. I know she misses
her kitty.
I wish I had the money and the know how and the determination to have built a very wonderful apartment place for seniors where they have a porch to sit on and where they can keep a cat!
Where older folks aren't separated from the delights of nature...the bird calls and the wind.

Temari Balls
http://www.sewhereblog.com/sewing-books/temari-balls/
tells about this craft. We first learned about it on a PBS show today. This 88, almost 89, year old Japanese lady makes them...has been making them as gifts for 20 years. Just gorgeous. She had a lot hanging from her ceiling with tassels under them. What a craft! Amazing!
Amazing Stone Sculptor
His name is Lu Huan. We learned about him on a PBS TV show today. It takes him usually several months to complete a sculpture. Some take years. He uses no paint...just the natural traits of the rock. He does not work from a photo because a photo is too flat. he goes and procures or buys the live specimen and studies it for a long time before he starts to sculpt. By the way, when he chooses aspecial rock, he spends much time studying it and contemplating it before he decides what to carve.
These carvings are superb representations of different species of reptiles, insects, and amphibians found in the animal kingdom. Each animal is carved out from a single piece of stone in exquisite detail. The stones used are found in China and Inner Mongolia, and belong to the pyrophyllite classification. From...
